Part-time Administrative Assistant for the Monadnock Area Transitional Shelter (MATS)

MATS is seeking a part-time (~10 hours per week) administrative assistant to perform various duties under the direction of the Program Manager and the Treasurer.

Responsibilities:

Serve as assistant to the Treasurer

  • Enter checks into our database, Little Green Light (training provided)
  • Send out email acknowledgements and mail thank-you notes
  • Assist with annual appeal and other mailings

Provide administrative support to the Program Manager

  • Maintain a filing system for records related to previous guests
  • Establish and maintain a filing system for minutes, documents and historical materials
  • Establish and maintain a filing system for financial documents
  • Digitize records when appropriate
  • Check email and phone messages in the absence of the Program Manager; respond or pass along information as needed

Provide support to the board and committees

  • Keep the fundraising target list up-to-date
  • Work with the fundraising committee to organize events
  • Maintain the annual calendar of activities and tasks; inform board of upcoming events

Maintain Facebook Page and Website

  • Make periodic postings to the MATS website and Facebook page to keep them abreast of current news and happenings
  • Post annual reports and appeal letters to the website

Qualifications:

  • Proficient computer and office skills
  • Knowledge of social media
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Hourly pay rate dependent on experience.
